Rixos Hotels Partners with Dubai Cares to Adopt a School in Malawi

Rixos Hotels has announced a landmark partnership with Dubai Cares, the UAE-based global philanthropic organisation dedicated to improving children’s access to quality education. Through this collaboration, Rixos will sponsor the construction and operation of a primary school in rural Malawi, providing education to over 500 children annually.

The initiative is part of Rixos’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility Plan 2025, which commits the brand to creating meaningful impact beyond the walls of its resorts. Guests staying at Rixos properties across the UAE will be invited to participate through voluntary contributions during their stay, with 100% of funds directed to the school project.

The school will be built using sustainable construction methods, incorporating solar panels, rainwater harvesting systems, and locally sourced materials. The curriculum will include both traditional academics and vocational training programs, ensuring students gain practical skills alongside their education.

The project is expected to break ground in mid-2026, with the first cohort of students enrolling by early 2027. Rixos plans to expand the program to additional countries in Sub-Saharan Africa in subsequent years.
